We're kicking off the outdoor pool season with something a little different.
 
Join us at Wangaratta Sports & Aquatic Centre for a Water Polo Come and Try Day and experience one of Australia's most exciting pool sports.
 
Delivered in partnership with Water Polo Victoria, these beginner-friendly sessions will help you learn the basics, build confidence in the water and have some fun. No experience is needed.

What to Expect

You'll be guided through introductory water polo activities by experienced coaches in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

The session includes:

  • Learning basic water polo skills
  • Simple drills and activities
  • Small games
  • Tips on how to get involved in the sport locally

Watch a Match

Water Polo Victoria will be delivering a State Program development workshop earlier in the day, followed by a practice match in the afternoon. We invite Come and Try Participants to observe the workshop and stay to watch the practice match as our athletes continue their preparations for the National State Championships.

Is registration required?

Yes. Registration is required through Water Polo Victoria.

What swimming ability do I need?

You should be comfortable in deep water and able to swim confidently. Water polo is an active sport that takes place across the pool.

What should I bring?

Please bring:

  • Swimwear you're comfortable swimming in
  • A towel
  • Warm clothes for after the session
  • A drink bottle
