Our Social Sports Program is here to help you learn the basics of a wide range of sports in a supportive, relaxed and non-competitive setting.
Whether you're a beginner or just looking for a fun way to exercise, our sessions are tailored to focus on skill development followed by a social game. No weekly commitment or team required, just show up and give it a go.

What to Expect
Each session is designed to be inclusive, welcoming and fun. Here’s what a typical session looks like:

Warm welcome and equipment set-up

Skill introduction and development with guidance on basic techniques and rules

Social game where everyone is encouraged to participate at their own pace
You’ll rotate through a mix of sports throughout the term, giving you time to learn and enjoy each one before moving on.
Sports on rotation include:

Pickleball

Squash/Racquetball

Indoor soccer
Each sport will run for 4–6 weeks before changing.

Bookings: No need to pre-book. Just turn up on the day!

Supervision: Staff will be onsite to support but sessions are not formally coached or refereed

FAQs
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
Nope! All equipment is provided by WSAC. Just bring comfortable clothing, a water bottle and a good attitude.
I’ve never played these sports before. Can I still join?
Absolutely. These sessions are designed for all skill levels. Whether you’ve never picked up a racquet or just want to learn the basics, this is the perfect place to start.
Is it competitive?
Not at all. These sessions are focused on skill-building and having fun. Games are casual, and there’s no pressure to perform.
Do I have to come every week?
Not at all! It’s a flexible, pay-as-you-go program. Come when it suits you.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes, please do! The more the merrier.
Will this program change?
We’ll monitor attendance and feedback and may adjust session formats or timing to best suit the needs of our participants.
