Rural City of Wangaratta is thrilled to announce the grand opening of the reinvigorated, bigger, better, and brighter gym at the Wangaratta Sports and Aquatic Centre!
The gym has been expanded, upgraded, and fitted out with all new state-of-the-art high-tech fitness equipment. The gym also now includes a functional fitness training studio for personal training and specific sports training sessions.
“We want the very best for every member of our community and we are delivering it!” said Sports, Aquatic and Events Precinct Manager Sonya Dalgliesh.
“The new WSAC gym has been created for the community, as your place to feel good, for you to be able to achieve your goals,” she continued.
“If pushing the limits to stay strong, connecting your mind and body for peace and healing, reaching a milestone, or even taking that first step to get back in the game, relates to you, this is your place to feel good,” Ms Dalgliesh continued.
“We have specialised staff to guide and support your journey, which can start right here at the WSAC. With new equipment across the gym, we have all the latest technological developments in equipment that our members and visitors need and expect.”
Rural City of Wangaratta Mayor Dean Rees said the project is a great asset for the municipality.
“Our sporting facilities are for the whole community, and this gym is no exception. To be able to feel good and achieve personal fitness and wellbeing goals is terrific and you can do this right here at Wangaratta Sports and Aquatic Centre,” said Cr Rees.
“Wangaratta has some of the best regional sporting facilities in Victoria and this new gym provides the training centre needed. I encourage everyone to come down and get their fitness journey started.”
The newly completed gym is part of the larger Wangaratta Sports and Aquatic Centre Expansion Project funded in part through the Victorian Government’s Community Sport Infrastructure Stimulus Fund.
