With support from the Rural City of Wangaratta and VicHealth, the Wangaratta Sports and Aquatic Centre (WSAC) is proud to launch Wang Women Can, a community campaign designed to promote accessible fitness and empower women, girls, and gender-diverse people to get involved and stay involved.

Previously named This Girl Can, Wang Women Can aligns with VicHealth’s ‘Building Active Communities’ framework, which encourages councils to amplify inclusive sport and recreation opportunities and reduce barriers to participation.

WSAC will host free group fitness classes at local outdoor venues, with bookings preferred but not required. Everyone is welcome no matter your experience, fitness level, or background.

“These classes are about movement without judgement,” says Leon Newton Manager Sport Aquatic & Events Precinct, “These activities and programs aim to provide a safe first step for women to start and to get out and active in their local community.”
