How to Apply

Submit an EOI providing the following information:

Cover Letter

Introduce yourself:

  • why you are interested in the role
  • your swimming ability (minimum requirement is ability to swim 200m’s within 6 minutes)
  • evidence of current Level 2 First Aid (this is required prior to being accepted onto the course)
  • availability for days, hours and number of shifts as well as indicating either immediate start or starting seasonally in September.

You will also need a Working with Children Check which can be obtained after offer of employment and before starting.

 

More Information

We are currently looking to add to our dedicated team of Lifeguards and are seeking Expressions of Interest for the role.

Sponsored by the Rural City of Wangaratta and delivered by Life Saving Victoria we are on the hunt for passionate team members to join our team of Lifeguards. We are offering local community members the opportunity to train and work with us within the Aquatics industry, offering a fully funded scholarship program to train suitable applicants. The training includes theoretical and practical components with a mandatory online module to be completed prior to attending the onsite training.

WSAC operates over 7 days a week from early morning to late in the evening. As such we are looking for people with flexible availability, although we actively encourage candidates who are available to work during school hours Monday to Friday between 8.30am – 4.30pm to apply for the role.

You will need to be able to stand for extended periods of time (typically 3-4 hours), be aged at least 17 years of age and be able to swim 200 metres in 6 minutes.
