Research shows a strong link between mental and physical health. Professor Jane Farmer’s work on rural health and social connection highlights how a sense of belonging and active participation in local activities can support mental wellbeing.
At WSAC, we’re offering opportunities for men and boys to come together through movement, conversation and community. Whether it’s a group fitness class or a casual BBQ chat, we’re creating spaces where people can connect in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
This week, we’re inviting men and boys of all ages to get involved in a range of free, health-focused activities that encourage connection and challenge stereotypes around mental health and movement.
Location: WSAC Oval, BBQ area
Date: Friday 13 June, after the Body Attack Class
Time: From 6:00pm
Bring a chair and an open mind. A casual, judgment-free space for men and boys to connect over a meal.
