This Safety Week, we’re getting ready for all the fun summer swimming has to offer! With warmer days just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to help students build the skills and confidence they need to stay safe in and around the water.
Swimming is a big part of summer, and while it’s a lot of fun, it comes with risks, especially for children. That’s why swimming lessons are so important. They teach more than just strokes and technique. They help kids learn how to stay calm, think clearly, and respond safely in unexpected situations.
Throughout Safety Week, our swim school will be focusing on real-life water safety scenarios. Students will practise swimming in clothes, identifying hazards, and understanding how to stay safe in different environments like rivers, beaches, and backyard pools.
Reminder for families: we ask that students wear clothes over their bathers during lessons this week. This helps simulate real-world conditions and gives students a better understanding of how swimming feels outside of a controlled environment.
