Business Opportunity - Allied Health Room

Published on 18 March 2021

A rare and unique opportunity has arisen at the Wangaratta Sports and Aquatic Centre (WSAC) for a motivated business to operate out of our Allied Health Space.

Our vision for this space is for it to be utilised by a someone who compliments the environment of the centre by promoting inclusivity, fairness, and living a healthy lifestyle. For this reason, a remedial massage, dietician, or nutritionist would be ideal, and we are open to shared arrangements for this space.

This space was previously rented by a successful remedial massage business who was an important part of the centre for over 8 years. During this time the business experienced a rich relationship with the larger services available at the centre.

The Room
The room is in a major thoroughfare section of the centre (blue door on the left of the picture). Foot traffic through this space includes not only members, but major user groups such as the basketball clubs and school groups. This provides a great opportunity to advertise to an already health conscious audience. The room has enough space for a massage table and a small desk setup. The room has access to wired internet as well as the centre’s changeroom facilities. The room has its own water supply and multiple power point connections. Included in the investment is all utilities.

How the WSAC Can Elevate Your Business
Your business will become an important part of the centre and you will be advertised to 1250+ members and numerous other user groups additional to that number. You will have the opportunity to be involved in the many programs that the WSAC runs including referrals from gym health consultations, partnerships with our boot camps, and incorporated with our 8-week challenges.

There will be the opportunity to use the many facilities that the WSAC offers:

  • The Gym: The WSAC gym has all the equipment needed for rehabilitation, general fitness, and sport specific training. The range of cardio equipment includes treadmills, bikes, cross-trainers, arm-mills, and rowers. The strength training equipment includes free weights, pin loaded, and cable machines.
  • Pools: WSAC has 4 pools. Indoor pools include the 25m pool, the warm water pool kept at 35 degrees and perfect for rehabilitation clients and the program pool. The 50m outdoor pool (opened seasonally) is great for those wanting to do laps.
  • Programs: The WSAC runs several programs that often require referrals to local businesses. Tuesdays and Thursdays WSAC operates Teen Gym and within the next couple of months Living Longer Living Stronger will start focussing on older adults. Learn to Swim is a successful program already underway in the pools.
  • Other: WSAC offers 45+ group fitness classes a week including Tai Chi, Body Balance, Aqua Aerobics, Active Adults, and Pilates. There is an onsite café offering coffee and food. The centre also boasts 3 basketball courts and several squash courts.
